Meet the residents - the Kachel family at Kingswood

We fell in love with it straight away - from the generously sized rooms, peaceful countryside setting, and family-friendly location.

After 11 years in Dubai, Victoria and James Kachel decided it was time to make the move back to the UK with their children, to be closer to their family. With their hearts set on a new build for their first family home in the UK, the couple found exactly what they were looking for at our Kingswood development in Ascot - an exclusive collection of houses and apartments set within 22-acres of woodland - and moved in in April 2019.

What was your first impression of Kingswood?

“We visited three other local developments before coming across Kingswood, but we knew from the moment we looked around we wanted to live here. We’d found exactly what we were looking for – every detail and finish was thoughtfully considered. The generously sized rooms, peaceful countryside setting, and family-friendly location meant we fell in love with it straight away.“

What attracted you to Kingswood?

“There’s so much space for the children to play. Inside, the open-plan layout of the house means there’s lots of room for games and toys. Our eldest loves to ride his bike, so outside, the spacious garden is ideal, as is the woodland surrounding the neighbourhood.”

How did having two young children inform your property search?

“We had our second son while we were on the hunt for our new home, so we knew we wanted to buy a property that we didn’t have to do any work to and was easy to maintain - so a new-build was always top of the list.”

What was it about Ascot that drew you in? “It made perfect sense for us to settle down in Ascot, as our families live in the area. The excellent range of schools was also an important factor, and our eldest is now settled into a school just a few minutes down the road. We’re also close to the M4, M25 and M3, which means an easy commute for us both.”
