Rewarding Entrepreneurial Flair

Entrepreneurs are rare, yet key members of society. They build businesses, create jobs and growth. They take risks with their personal financial security. Often they start with little more than an idea and a steely determination to succeed. Not everyone gets it right, but those that do have a unique talent that is seldom recognised, until now.

This year, Millgate Homes sponsored a new young entrepreneur award at the prestigious Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards. The exciting new category recognises the best in local business talent, something which Millgate Homes is proud to support, as Director David Simpson explains:

“We wanted to hear from the young guns in the region, the hungry ones, the ones who know the rewards can be spectacular and those who have succeeded against the odds. We want to recognise that success. Our own founder Graeme Simpson won such an award himself and we know what a motivator it can be.”

The winner, announced at a glittering ceremony at Wentworth Golf Club, has all of the qualities mentioned above, Christina Domecq established SpinVox in 2004 based on the concept of saving busy executives time by converting their voicemails direct to text messages. The company has rapidly grown into a successful global business and its potential is enormous.

The other shortlisted candidates were: Vicky Jewson of Jewson Film Productions, James Roberts of Peros, Liz Jackson of Great Guns Marketing, David Jenkins of Wave Advertising and Spencer Gallagher of Bluhalo.
