Local developer lends a hand 

A very special corner of Berkshire has been made a little more special thanks to local house builder Millgate Homes. Wargrave's Camp Mohawk provides day care for autistic and brain damaged children from all over England, with the dual goal of helping the children develop while having fun and to give their families a well-deserved break.

Millgate Homes provided a volunteer team of ten men from their Head Office in Twyford, all of whom readily got their hands dirty to help give the campfire area of the site a much needed overhaul. Chief Executive of the Berkshire Community Foundation, Robin Draper, who called on the voluntary services of Millgate Homes said “Their efforts will bring a great deal of joy to a large number of particularly disadvantaged children in the county, and so was a really well worthwhile use of their time and expertise”.

Director at Millgate Homes, David Simpson (pictured far left) explains:

“Camp Mohawk is a fantastic facility that helps so many children and their families by providing a safe, fun environment. We are immensely proud that this wonderful operation is so local to our offices, and are delighted to have been able to assist. We hope that the renovated area provides entertainment to children visiting Camp Mohawk for many years to come.”
