Millgate Homes help boost local Guide Group's Grand Designs 

The Banstead District Guide Association has kick-started its fund raising toward a brand new head quarters, thanks to a generous donation by house builder, Millgate Homes. The present Guide's building, located on the corner of The Drive in Bantstead plays host not only to weekly meetings for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers aged between 5 and 18, but are also home to Little Haven nursery during the day. The building, a valuable community resource, dates from the 1970s and has begun to fall into disrepair.

Glenda Chadburn, Banstead District Commissioner for the Girl Guide Association explains:

“The hall gets a lot of use, being the home of our strong district groups and also the nursery during the day – however, it is no longer really fit for purpose and we are looking to raise funds to build a new hall on the site, which will provide our group with an attractive new meeting place. We are delighted with Millgate's kind donation – it has provided an excellent base from which to start our fundraising efforts.”
