Millgate celebrates award success
Berkshire-based Millgate Homes is celebrating success again this year in the prestigious Evening Standard New Homes Awards. Now in their 15th year, the awards celebrate the highest standard of skills, design and craftsmanship in new homes across the South East. Millgate has been a regular recipient of these coveted accolades, having been recognised in a diverse range of categories since 1994.
2006 has seen Millgate receive not one but two awards, with plot 3 at their Robin Hill development on Maidenhead’s Shoppenhangers Road named the outright winner in the best 2 bedroom apartment category, noted as one of the most hotly contested. The apartment was described as ‘faultless’, and the development won the following acclaim from the judging panel:
“The apartments are stylish and very generously proportioned, and show great attention to detail”
The second award was bestowed on Newell Green Farm near Warfield in the category for the Best New Small Development, which was praised for:
“…the quality of its detailing and good value for money. It is a family-orientated development with a good mix of house types sympathetically planned around an existing property.”
David Wrigley, Director of Sales and Marketing at Millgate Homes said:
“As you can imagine the whole team is excited about this – the Evening Standard Awards represent everything we strive to achieve with the Millgate brand – quality throughout, from location to design, build and finish, and reflects the commitment and passion of the whole team to maintaining these high standards. This is a real boost for everyone who put so much effort into getting it right for our customers.
“This is our first year in the category for developers building over 100 properties a year, as during 2005 we sold 152 units in comparison to 60 the previous year - this serves as proof that the Millgate philosophy of quality and attention to detail will not be compromised as the Company expands.”
