Woodcote is 6 miles from Reading, and 18 miles from Oxford via the A4074. There is also easy access to nearby Wallingford, Goring and Henley. Reading is a successful commercial centre within easy travelling distance of London. The quality of life provided by the surrounding environment and the River Thames is second to none.

Reading Station is a major hub of Inter City services to destinations throughout the country. London Paddington is reached in 25 minutes from which the Heathrow Express runs every 15 minutes.

Reading’s M4 links are easily accessed with Heathrow only 22 miles away. A Heathrow shuttle service operates from outside the station.

Woodcote

Woodcote is a pleasant Oxfordshire village. Situated in the Chilterns and not far from the River Thames, it is set in beautiful countryside. Yet it is only 6 miles from Reading, the economic capital of the Thames Valley, and its excellent shopping and leisure facilities.

Three local pubs are within easy reach of Beechwood Court. The Red Lion and White Lion both have restaurants and Ricci’s on the Green is a fine Routiers-recommended restaurant serving excellent French cuisine.

The village has extensive educational facilities with several preschools/nurseries, a primary school, a secondary school (Langtree), a private boys school (The Oratory) and an adult education programme. Woodcote is also home to many successful businesses encompassing a wide range of services.

Woodcote has a modern health centre, a dental surgery, serving the village but located in Checkendon, two food stores, a large garden centre and a post office with shop.
