High flyer Heather Gentles, a senior sales executive with IBM, has had enough of city life. Living in south west London for over 6 years had persuaded her that enough is enough of the urban ‘rat race’ and Millgate Homes’ development at Twyford provided the perfect escape. Heather has become one of a growing band of younger people who are rejecting the pressures of city living.

“I was fed up with fighting my way through traffic to and from work, only to get home and find I had to drive round and round for half an hour looking for a parking space,” says Heather.

“I discovered Millgate Homes at Twyford and fell in love with my new home. I liked the smallness of the development – there were only ten properties being built – and its aesthetically pleasing aspect together with ample evidence of high quality build. What really sold it to me was the proportion of the designs. Mine is a two bedroom home but it is as big as many three beds. It’s sensibly laid out and the room sizes are generous.”

But isn’t Twyford a massive contrast to city life? Heather thinks not.
“I still struggle sometimes with having fewer restaurants and bars to choose from but the people here are so welcoming and friendly I have already made some good friends. The area has a lovely rural feel but we aren’t that far from the major amenities. The bonus is that these days when I drive into work the journey takes me through Windsor Great Park and when I arrive home I feel relaxed and ready to enjoy the evening.”
